A-Fest West 2017 will take place in Jamaica, Thursday, November 9 until Sunday, November 12 at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites in gorgeous Montego Bay.

Sangster International Airport (MBJ) is the leading tourism gateway to the island of Jamaica. The airport is located 3 miles east of Montego Bay, and 20 minutes drive from Iberostar Grand Rose Hall, Iberostar Rose Hall Suites and Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Hotels.

Where To Stay

A-Fest will take place at the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall, Iberostar Rose Hall Suites and Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Hotels (situated alongside each other) where all attendees will stay. Information on how to book a hotel room at a special A-Fest discounted room rate will be provided after you’ve secured your event ticket. 

Activities

Montego Bay is a getaway to the island’s sandy beaches, turquoise seas and lively nightlife. Check out the bars, clubs and shops along Montego Bay’s long tourist street – the ‘hip strip’. Visit the downtown of Montego Bay, fanning out from the cobblestone Sam Sharpe Square or soak in the sunshine at the north coast resorts of Ocho Rios, Lucea and Negril. Or, head over to Jamaica’s reggae - and culture-filled capital, Kingston, on the south coast.

Wim Hof

Wim is internationally renowned for his countless ice endeavors that range from being up to his neck in a cylinder filled with ice cubes for over 90 minutes, swimming long distances under polar ice, running a marathon barefoot to climbing the Everest in nothing but a pair of shorts. Jon and Missy Butcher

Jim Kwik

Gelong Thubten

Gelong Thubten became a Buddhist monk 24 years ago at Kagyu Samye Ling in Scotland, Europe's oldest and largest Buddhist monastery. Thubten specialises in teaching mindfulness meditation internationally, in businesses, hospitals, schools, universities, prisons and addiction counselling centres. He works with major clients such as Google, LinkedIn, Lloyds Bank, HSBC, Deutsche Bank, Siemens, Accenture, the NHS, Clifford Chance and Linklaters, and has lectured at Facebook HQ in the UK. Thubten was the meditation consultant on the set of Marvel's latest movie, Dr. Strange, where he trained Benedict Cumberbatch and Tilda Swinton in meditation techniques while they were filming.

Daniel Pinchbeck

An author of a number of influential books including Breaking Open the Head, 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl, and How Soon Is Now. His books explored subjects of psychedelic shamanism, prophecies, the philosophy of consciousness, mysticism, and psychic phenomena. He founded the company Evolver and advises on a number of projects including Puertas Tulume, The Delphi Project, HyLo, United Imagination, and Minds.com. He is also a part of the Regenerative Culture Working Group.

Nichol Bradford
